Itinerary

Day 1Aswan, Philae, Kom Ombo, Maniha

Getting picked up from your hotel or the airport with a warm greeting of your tour-guide, whom you get to know along your ride to Philae temple while getting to watch over the beautiful sights of the land of gold, Aswan.

Philae temple: the temple that was moved from its original location to save it from getting destroyed by the raising waters, the temple of Philae is dedicated to Isis, the goddess of healing, birth, and magic, as well as Osiris and Horus. The temple walls contain scenes from Egyptian mythology of Isis bringing Osiris back to life, giving birth to Horus, and mummifying Osiris after his death.
Saying farewell to the land it’s time to check in on our Dahabiya luxury boat and start our sail down the river Nile to Kom Ombo. docking there and making our way to the famous temple of Kom Ombo,
Kombo temple also known as the double temple, as its constructed completely symmetrical of a double temple made to worship two gods, Horus the falcon god, and Sobek the crocodile god. It’s also well known for the art painted on its walls. The Kom Ombo temple is one of the well-preserved temples in Egypt.
We then return to the dahabiya cruise boat to enjoy the time on the water having many laughs and making memories.
Sailing through the night to the Maniha island, the island that shows the nature and culture of old Aswan.

Day 2Gebel El Silsila, Bassao, Fawaza

Waking up to a beautiful relaxing breakfast on deck, enthusiastic to learn a lot more about the ancient temples. We kick off the day by visiting the Gebel El Silsila.
Gebel El Silsila is a chain of mountains halfway between Kom Ombo and Edfu, a unique view of the grandeur of ancient Egypt, as it was the main sandstone quarry stone supply for building many of the temples.

Then we make our way to the Bassao village island, a hidden gem of the Egyptian culture, and take the moment to step back in time and experience all the traditions.

Making it back on deck where the dahabiya has found a quite spot to deck near Fawaza island.

Day 3Edfu, El Kab, Esna

Waking up to the beautiful city of Edfu, having breakfast with the energy to start the journey to Edfu temple, the temple dedicated to the falcon god Horus, the temple of Horus is completely preserved in its original form, with its intricately Carved reliefs, imposing Columns and well- preserved statues, also offers rich history and mythology.

Getting back to our dahabiya boat to enjoy the Nile river cruise while sailing towards El Kab Necropolis, the City of goddess Nekhebet; also known for its rock-cut tombs, The necropolis encompasses noteworthy sepulchers, providing insights into the formative period of the Eighteenth Dynasty and the subsequent unification of Egypt. The rock-hewn tombs dedicated to the provincial administrators of Nekheb during the New Kingdom include those of Sobeknakht II, a significant official credited with safeguarding the Theban Sixteenth or Seventeenth Dynasty from imminent destruction by invading forces from the Kingdom of Kush.
The most famous tombs: The Tomb of Ahmose Son of Ibana, the Tomb of Paheri, and the Tomb of Setau.

Salling to Esna, Night near Namesa village where you’ll enjoy restful night stargazing on deck.

Day 4Esna, Luxor

Having our last breakfast on the deck of our luxury boat enjoying it for the last time before saying our fare well to the dahabiya cruise and checking out.

Making our way to the Esna temple also known as the temple of Khnum, the masterpiece was dedicated to the worship of Khnum, the ram-headed god associated with creation, fertility, and the annual flooding of the Nile. Khnum was believed to be the creator of humankind, shaping them from clay on his potter’s wheel. And is famous for the excavated Roman hall with many columns & colorful carved hieroglyphics.

Lastly, we get to drive down to our last destination by car before bidding off our 4 day dahabiya Nile cruise, The Valley of the Kings in Luxor, the Valley of the Kings was the major burial ground for most of the royal pharaohs. The most famous pharaohs buried there were Tutankhamun, Seti I, and Ramses II.

You will then be dropped off at your hotel in Luxor or to the airport.
